Do not dispose of waste near bodies of water such as lakes, rivers or oceans. Plant trees in catchment areas and banks of rivers as well. Trees not only prevent soil erosion but also retain soil moisture and keep rivers flowing. Do not block/stop the natural drains by building or dumping waste on the drains.
